From the 18th to the 19th of October, Largo de Nossa Senhora do Bom Caminho, in Ribeira de Machico, will host its very popular “Soups with History.”
The event, promoted by the Municipality of Machico, celebrates local gastronomy with emphasis on regional soups, bringing together 7 stands with traditional and original proposals. Among the delicacies, visitors will be able to taste Soup, Beef Broth, Chestnut Soup, Grandmother’s Soup, Wheat Soup, False Water, Green Broth, Açorda and Sopa de Pau — prepared by several local institutions and associations, such as Casa do Povo de Machico, Curral das Freiras, Ribeira Seca, Santo AntĂłnio da Serra, Amigos de Carros de Pau, Engenhos do Norte and the Association of Cider Producers of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
In addition to the gastronomic component, the event will feature musical entertainment.
