There were cheers and tears last night as the election results were counted.
Not surprisingly, the PSD won six of the eleven Municipal Councils of Madeira, and a majority in the Parish Councils.
The map below shows the social-democratic influence in all municipalities.
The colors of the parties allow us to see a more comprehensive colour throughout the Region, but still with a clear PSD orange dominance.
