A man, whose nationality and age could not be confirmed, was rescued this morning from an escarpment of one of the streams in Funchal, specifically in Fundoa (Ribeira de Santa Luzia).
The individual was physically well and was guided to safety by a Mountain Rescue team from the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters.
The operation took place at 1:00 am this morning (Monday) and involved 12 Mountain Rescue personnel.
