The superyacht Anawa, which has been in the Region for about two weeks, once again attracted attention this afternoon, as for the first time a private yacht chose to helicopter its passengers in.
The vessel set sail from the Port of Funchal and anchored near the Pinnacle area. According to JM, air transport was provided between the luxury yacht and Madeira Airport for the owners and their guests. The yacht is managed by Atlantys Superyacht Services/Transinsular Madeira.
Anawa belongs to Brazilian businessman Jorge Paulo Lemann, one of the richest individuals in South America, with a fortune exceeding 14 billion euros.
The tycoon is the co-founder of Banco Garantia and one of the main shareholders of the multinational beverage company, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and also holds stakes in International Restaurant Brands and is the owner of Burger King and Tim Hortons.
Priced at approximately 85.5 million euros, this 62-meter-long superyacht was crafted in 2020 by the renowned Dutch shipyard Damen. It features a helipad and a hangar designed for a Helibras 350 helicopter, accommodating up to 12 passengers and 20 crew members.
