Threads and Knots Workshop

DTIM – Regional Association for the Development of Information Technologies in Madeira is promoting a cycle of workshops entitled ‘Threads and Knots that Intertwine Stories.’

The workshops will take place in September, and the sessions are dedicated to exploring natural and sustainable materials, such as raffia, jute, and cotton.

In addition to the training aspect, the programme also aims to promote social and communication skills, as well as strengthen environmental awareness, encouraging the responsible use of natural resources. Each trainee will have the possibility to create their own decorative and sustainable pieces, developing original projects in an environment of sharing and experimentation.

Workshop Calendar

· September 16 – Raffia: Tradition and creativity with natural fibers

· September 23 – Natural Textures with Jute

· September 30 – Macramé in cotton: techniques and creations

If you would like to participate in one or all of the workshops, please register your interest at www.dtim.pt.

Participation is free; however, students are asked to pay for the materials they use.
