New India Pale Lager

Coral has announced the launch of its new India Pale Lager (IPL).  Stating that it is a beer that combines “the freshness of a lager and the aromatic intensity of traditional English India Pale Ales.”

In a press statement, Coral stresses that this launch “reinforces the tradition of innovation and connection to the beer culture,” succeeding the limited edition Coral Altbier, presented in December, and confirming the strategy of Empresa de Cervejas da Madeira (ECM) to follow market trends and surprise consumers with new beers and ideas.”

With 5.5% alcohol content and 35 IBU, Coral IPL was developed by Madeira Beer Lab, with Hallertau Magnum, Saaz, and Simcoe hops, which give it a tropical aroma with high notes of passion fruit. Pilsner and Crystal malts, on the other hand, guarantee a medium-light body and amber colour. According to the brand, the beer is inspired by English traditions of the eighteenth century and is adapted to the Madeiran climate, going through 25 days of maturation to reach the ideal point.

The design preserves Coral’s visual identity, and the launch campaign combines classic retro aesthetics with references to British and Madeiran culture.

“Coral India Pale Lager – an English beer ideally suited for Madeiran palates.
