In the first half of this year, an average of 38,725 vehicles circulated daily on the highway, which represents a traffic growth of around 5.1%, compared to the same period last year.
Of these, 37,853 correspond to light vehicles and 872 heavy goods vehicles (HGV), both with year-on-year increases of 5.9% and 4.6%, respectively.
Traffic on general roads rose by 6.8% in the first six months of this year, with an average of 7,516 cars traversing the island’s arterial network. This traffic consisted of 7,357 light vehicles and 159 HGVs.
