Today, Monday the 14th, several CTT offices were unable to pay the Subsidy Social Mobility to residents.
Several people reported that notices had been posted advising of the temporary unavailability of the service, causing frustration to those who had purchased tickets between Madeira and the mainland or the Azores.
João Freitas, tried to claim his reimbursement and was refused in two post offices. When he enquired about the problem he was told that all CTT offices were experiencing difficulties as the computer system was down.
DIÁRIO reporters contacted the CTT press office about the problem. Responding to enquiries a spokesperson for CTT said that they were aware of the problem, were dealing with it and that it would be resolved shortly.
