A 40-year-old South Asian man was injured in the arm during a knife attack after an attempted robbery that took place late Monday afternoon in downtown Funchal.
The man was assisted by a team of Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters and sent to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital. The Public Security Police (PSP) also attended the incident.
The situation has been denounced by many on social media, as the victim was attacked by a group of at least four people.
Unfortunately, a lot of anti-immigration propaganda is being spread by parties opposed to immigration and migrant workers.
