For a year, Ursula Hahn has acted as a volunteer bus guide at a bus stop in the Monumental Lido.
When asked about her dedication to her vocational role, she added that tourists are often left confused about pre-paid tickets, the cost of a bus trip, and where to disembark. Additionally, she has identified and understands the frustrations felt by many resident bus users who find their bus running schedules severely altered with large influxes of tourists, and delays caused due to overcrowding.
During the year, she has worked tirelessly to help people and give advice on where to purchase pre-paid tickets and how the bus timetables work.
‘There is a real need for a customer kiosk in the area.” States Ursula. “Tourists and residents alike want to use public transport. It’s sustainable, and we are all becoming more aware of our carbon footprint and the need to protect our planet. All that is needed here is a little thought and people who can take the trauma out of travelling.”
