The Regional Authority for Economic Activities (ARAE) warns that a collection campaign is underway throughout the national market for several outdoor LED lamps and fairy lights from the LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA, and SVARTRÅ ranges of the IKEA brand.
The alert comes after it was detected that the product plug may “not meet a safety requirement for limiting water ingress, which may pose a risk of electric shock.”
A total of 286 pieces were sold in the Portuguese market, through the IKEA Alfragide, IKEA Loures, IKEA Matosinhos, IKEA Braga, IKEA Loulé stores, and the online sales channel.
The company therefore asks all customers who have purchased the products to stop using them and contact IKEA for a full refund.
