The Union of Office, Commerce and Services Workers of the Autonomous Region of Madeira has met “as a matter of urgency,” with those Pingo Doce workers who are undergoing disciplinary proceedings.
On the 15th of March, newspaper headlines stated that approximately 18 employees working for the Jerónimo Martins chain were undergoing internal and judicial inquiries for theft, embezzlement and organised crime.
The union has said that it will ask the Public Prosecutor’s Office to intervene.
