An 82-year-old tourist staying at a Hotel in the Lido area was found dead on Christmas morning having suffered a heart attack.
Emergency services were called a little after 09:00 with the Funchal Firefighters mobilising an ambulance and crew, but they were unable to save the tourist as he was already dead.
