On the 12th of December, the Regional Civil Protection Service, IP-RAM, received a visit from a German Fire and Rescue Services specialist and lecturer, interested in learning about the operational model of the Integrated Communications Center (CIC) and the Medical Emergency Transport and Rescue Service (STAT).
During the session, the specialist was accompanied by a member of the Communications Planning and Operations Division (DPOC) and a representative of the Medical Emergency and Rescue Service (SEMER). Civil protection professionals presented the functioning of the CIC and STAT, highlighting the innovative strategies used in emergency management and population/victim support.
“Impressed by the efficiency and integration of the services, the German specialist recognized the potential of replicating elements of the Madeiran model in his home country contributing to the strengthening of civil protection infrastructures in Germany,” confirmed the Regional Civil Protection Service, in a statement.
The visit reinforces Madeira’s role as an international reference in civil protection and highlights the importance of cooperation and the exchange of good practices between countries.
