A tourist recently drove the wrong way down Rua 31 de Janeiro.
It all happened when a car driver from Rua da Ponte Nova turned left. Although he hesitated for a few seconds and drove along the pavement when he saw vehicles coming towards him, he didn’t stop. Even knowing he was driving the wrong way, the man accelerated to the next intersection and then turned towards Bom Jesus bridge.
The driver, then waited for the road to clear, quickly accelerated, and finally managed to get to the right side of the road.
