SESARAM Nutrition Study

SESARAM’s Nutrition Service is currently carrying out a food study.

The diagnosis of the food situation and nutritional status of the population of the Autonomous Region of Madeira is aimed at the adult population aged 18 to 65 years, and involves 600 people from all over the Region; all of whom have been contacted at random. Those being asked to participate would have been contacted on the 17th of October.

Participation is anonymous and is being carried out digitally.

To this end, the selected users received, through SMS and e-mail, the invitation to answer an online survey, with questions related to eating habits and their nutritional status. They will also be invited to go to their local Health Centres to be measured and weighed.

In a statement, SESARAM appeals “to the collaboration of all those who are invited to participate in this study, which will be fundamental to assess the food and nutritional situation in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.”
