Tomorrow, the 20th of September, at 21:30, the Madeira Classical Orchestra presents a concert with the Brass Quintet ‘Madbrass5,’ at Reid’s Palace; A Belmond Hotel.
For this concert, the dedicated musicians of the brass section of the Classical Orchestra of Madeira, Mário Pinto and Rui Vidal on trumpet, Rúben Silva on horn, Luís Rodrigues on trombone and Fabien Filipe on tuba, have prepared a special program of outstanding artistic and musical value with works by composers Richard Rooble, Enrique Crespo, Michael Kamen, Scott Joplin and John Philip Sousa.
“This is a concert that will reveal the adaptability of the brass quintet formation through the interpretation of original works and arrangements for this formation. The Madeira Classical Orchestra with these chamber music projects thus promotes the possibility for its musicians to present themselves to the public in small groups highlighting their talent as a chamber musician.
It should be noted that the combination of the brands Orquestra Clássica da Madeira and Reid’s Palace; A Belmond Hotel represents and contributes to the strengthening and visibility of both, and what unites us is to offer a unique musical experience. This is a partnership for which the Madeira Classical Orchestra is truly grateful because through their partnership they are able to attract renowned conductors and soloists, says artistic director Norberto Gomes.
