After the success of the last editions, Drive-In Cinema returns to MadeiraShopping to give that little American 50s glamour.
Drive-in cinema takes place at 20:30 in the covered car park on Floor 2, where it is also possible to enjoy the restaurant service, so there is no shortage of the best snacks to go with it.
Tomorrow, September the 11th, the romantic comedy “Podia ter Espera por Agosto“, directed and starring César Mourão, who plays Xavier, a sacristan from a village in Soajo who falls in love with a neighbour’s granddaughter and promises to bring the audience to tears with his mixture of humour and emotion.
On Thursday, September the 12th, “On the Run” brings adrenaline to the audience with Lena Headey, Sam Worthington and Dean Scott Vazquez, where Gypsy, a burlesque bar dancer, embarks on an intense mission to save the neighbour’s son, threatened by a former lover, after witnessing the murder of the boy’s parents.
The Drive-In Cinema ends on Friday with the French comedy “OH LÁ LÁ!” which explores the dynamics between two families with very different backgrounds who meet to celebrate their children’s engagement, but discover unexpected secrets through a DNA test. The main characters are played by Christian Clavier, Didier Bourdon, Sylvie Testud and Marianne Denicourt.
In addition to the parking spaces, MadeiraShopping will also have an area with 100 chairs for those who prefer to watch outdoors. Sessions do not require reservations, being limited to the available space and on a first come first served basis.
Drive-In Cinema is part of the “Cultura no Centro” initiative, a Sonae Sierra project, which aims to support artists and cultural entities, as well as make culture accessible to all Portuguese.
