Horários do Funchal, has confirmed that it will resume its shuttle bus service to Pico do Areeiro from tomorrow, Monday the 2nd of September, following the partial reopening of the pedestrian walk between Pico do Areerio and Ninho da Manta.

It is possible to reserve a seat, between seven and two working days before the travel date, only by phone: (+351) 291 705 555 (cost of a call to the national fixed network), from Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 18:00 and on Fridays from 08:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 17:00 (except if a holiday).
Seat reservation is only available at the departure stops (Praça da Autonomia and Pico do Areeiro).
The bus capacity is 31 seats.
Passengers with a seat reservation must be present at the boarding point at least 15 minutes before departure. If they do not meet this requirement, the trip will not be guaranteed.

Shuttle connecting between:
– CAM Florestal das Serras de Santo António;
– Pico do Areeiro Park;
– Pico do Areeiro – roundabout next to the Radar.
The service runs every 15 minutes between 06:40 am and 12:15 and 14:10 and 19:00.
The service is limited to four passengers or more.
Ticket price: €1.20 per trip, purchased only on board. No other type of ticket is allowed on this service.
The capacity of the bus is 31 seats and up to 40 standing.

Notes:
– The service is provided every day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, except for December 25th;
– The service is differentiated for summer time and winter time;
– Vehicles with 31 seats and up to 40 standing seats are used;
– It is not allowed to travel standing, except for the shuttle service;
– Infants and children up to and including 5 years old are exempt from payment;
– HF reserves the right not to carry out the service whenever weather conditions do not allow it or whenever road access is prohibited;
– No other type of ticket is allowed on this service.
