Avenida do Infante will be restricted to road traffic, between this Wednesday, the 7th, and the 24th of this month, because of paving work, maintaining, however, circulation in both directions.
According to a notice issued today by the municipality, as a road alternative, drivers can choose to circulate through Via 25 de Abril, Eng. Jaime Ornelas Camacho Tunnel, Access Tunnel to the Port of Funchal and Avenida Dr. Sá Carneiro.
“During the intervention, the parking of vehicles in the areas to be intervened and the surrounding area is expressly prohibited,” underlines the City Council.
On Ladeira da Casa Branca, also for paving reasons, traffic will be interrupted between the 10th of August (Saturday) and the 17th of August between 08:00 and 18:00.
Attention also to the interruption of road traffic with a ban on parking on Rua Dr. Pestana Júnior, in the segment between Rua da Ribeira de João Gomes and the access to Baleia Verde, is in effect from today until Thursday.
As an alternative, Rua da Ribeira de João Gomes and Rua Dom Ernesto Sena de Oliveira should be used. The circulation of public transport will be coordinated by the Public Security Police.
The CMF appeals and thanks drivers for their understanding of any constraints caused, and asks that everyone respects current signage and Public Security Police instructions.
