1st of July Rubbish Collection Schedule

Águas e Resíduos da Madeira (ARM) has issued a statement confirming their changes in the waste collection service in the municipalities, of  Câmara de Lobos, Porto Santo, Machico, Ribeira Brava, and Santana, as well as in the waste reception services, due to the public holiday on the 1st of July.

Revised waste collection schedule

Câmara de Lobos:

· The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal garbage), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be carried out on the same day, starting at 8 am, with the exception of some areas of the parish of Câmara de Lobos and Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, where it will be carried out on Tuesday (July 2nd).

Ribeira Brava:

· The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal garbage), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be carried out on the same day, starting at 8 am.

· The collection of paper/cardboard waste (blue recycling bin), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be carried out on the same day, starting at 8 am.

Machico:

· The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal garbage), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be carried out on the same day, starting at 8 am.

· The collection of paper/cardboard waste (blue recycling bin), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be carried out on the same day, starting at 8 am.

Santana:

The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal garbage), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be postponed to Tuesday (July 2nd).

· The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal garbage), usually on Tuesday (July 2nd), will be postponed to Wednesday (July 3rd).

· The collection of paper/cardboard waste (blue recycling bin), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be postponed to Tuesday (July 2nd).

Porto Santo:

· The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal garbage), usually on Monday (July 1st), will be carried out on the same day, starting at 8 am.

Reception of waste

Regarding the reception of waste, it is informed that on the holiday of July 1st, the Meia Serra Solid Waste Treatment Plant (ETRS) will only receive waste for incineration and green waste, upon prior request.

On the same date, the East Zone Transfer Station and Madeira Island Sorting Station (ETZL/ET), the West Zone Transfer Station (ETZO), and the Porto Santo Solid Waste Processing Centre (CPRS) will be closed.
