Horários do Funchal has issued a statement confirming that it will implement, from the 1st of July, changes in the last stops in the Avenida do Mar area on some of the urban routes.
“This readjustment will reduce the number of buses travelling along Avenida do Mar and C. Madeirenses, contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions, increasing the efficiency of the service, easing traffic in the centre of Funchal, and maintaining better passenger care and convenience,” reads the company statement.
Thus, the following changes have been made:
– Routes: 8, 8A, 9, 10, 10A, 11, 13, 14, 15, 15B, 16, 24, 46, and 92 will end at the Praça Povo stop (2);
– Routes: 15B (via Viveiros), 20, and 21 end at the Alfândega stop (154);
– Routes: 7, 22, 29, 36, 37, 38, 39, and 47 end at the Praça Autonomia, D (156A) stop;
Route 49 (via University) ends at the Rua Conselheiro stop (17).
