The bus consumed by flames yesterday afternoon, was recorded still moving when the fire broke out in the engine compartment. In fact, CCTV footage shows the bus moving normally with flames leaping through the engine grill.
Although the fire was intense the driver managed to get everyone to safety, but unfortunately was not able to put the fire out using a fire extinguisher. The intensity of the fire made it impossible for him to handle and was only brought under control when the fire brigade took over.
Black smoke could be seen billowing from the scene miles away.
