The Association Help to Feed Dogs this week rescued a dog who was living in what could only be termed as miserable conditions.
We have tried to help Pluto’s owner, who is an elderly lady several times but despite assurances that things would change like hygiene, a proper kennel, clipping, de-worming and general health and care his life has remained the same. In fact, they were confronted with an “unbearable smell” and “everything was always disgusting.”
“He got sick and several times we paid a veterinarian to go to the owner’s house to treat Pluto. Being an elderly person, we always try to help, but when we realized that nothing would change and that the animal would suffer for the rest of its life, we decided it was time to intervene.” A spokesperson for the association added.
Now, Pluto has been referred to a clinic, where he remains after a lump in his throat was detected. The association asks if anyone could help them pay the 483 euro vet bill, any donation will be eternally grateful. No matter how big or small the donation is, you make a difference to an animal in distress.
