Early yesterday evening a body was found floating in the sea off Praia do Vigário, Câmara de Lobos.
According to JM, an EMIR crew, and Câmara de Lobos Firefighters raced to the scene and spotted the body floating face down in the water. It remained in this position for approximately 40 minutes.
According to eyewitness accounts, the body appeared lifeless as it was pulled aboard a rescue boat.
Later the man was identified as being 65 years old, who the authorities believe died of a heart attack while swimming.
