The Funchal City Council (CMF) has announced that due to ‘National Motorcyclist Day 2024,’ on the 7th of April, it will be necessary to make the following temporary road traffic changes:
From 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – road traffic will be interrupted on Avenida Dr. Sá Carneiro, with the exception of the southern traffic lane next to Praça CR7. At this time, the taxi rank on Avenida Dr. Sá Carneiro will be deactivated;
From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – road traffic will be interrupted at Rua Eng.º Jaime Ornelas Camacho and Túnel Eng.º Jaime Ornelas Camacho;
From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – road traffic will be interrupted on E.R. 116 (connection to the Port of Funchal) between Rotunda Eng.º Jaime Ornelas Camacho and Rotunda Harvey Foster.
Road Alternatives
Drivers should circulate through Via 25 de Abril, Rua Dr. Pita, Avenida do Infante and Avenida Luís de Camões;
Other information
The interruptions, constraints, prohibitions, and special accesses will be coordinated by the Public Security Police, and once the road safety conditions are verified, this entity will proceed to restore normal road circulation.
