In the last five years, more than 3,400 animals have been collected from the expressway and main roads. Most of these animals were found dead as a result of road accidents.
According to traffic sources, speeding is still the number one cause of road traffic accidents. While road debris is on the increase, as last year over 1,800 objects were removed from the region’s roads.
