Asked how the PSD\M militants are facing the congress and the candidacy, Miguel Albuquerque replied stating: “Let’s see what they decide.”
As for the fact that he does not summon the media for official visits, as has been the case in recent times, Albuquerque said that they “will start now.”
Asked if he is afraid of being seen as a person who has no say, the outgoing president said that “who sees this is the opposition, not the majority of Madeirans who have always voted for me.”
Miguel Albuquerque was speaking on the sidelines of the 34th National Congress of Hospitality and Tourism, which is about to kick off at the Madeira Congress Centre. The event promoted by the Hotel Association of Portugal (AHP) runs until Friday, with the theme ‘Horizon 2030’ in line with the 2030 Agenda and the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
