Pico Alto, located in the Funchal Ecological Park, and Chão and Pico do Areeiro, recorded the highest amounts of rainfall by 15:00 yesterday, with 50.6 litres per square metre being recorded. Furthermore, rainfall in Pico Alto reached 13.1 mm in just an hour.
Yesterday, between 00:00 and 15:00, 26.9 litres of rain fell per square metre at the Pico do Areeiro station, 43.1 mm at Chão do Areeiro. In Funchal, the highest readings were found at the Observatory weather station (22.6 mm) and Cancela (21.4 mm).
At the airport, the rain reached 17.3 litres per square metre.
