The man suspected of murdering 36-year-old Artur Sousa in the early hours of Sunday morning in Campanário, Ribeira Brava, has been remanded in custody following his first judicial interrogation.
Artur Sousa was stabbed in the neck twice while attending a street party in honour of S. Brás, patron saint of that parish. Despite being mortally wounded, Artur managed to stagger a few steps before collapsing to the ground.
