A man was arrested this morning in Porto Santo for attempted murder.
The case occurred on the Margaça farm after a strong altercation between neighbours, whose relationship had been very complicated and strained for several years.
This time, the fight took a turn for the worse, when one of them allegedly grabbed a spearfishing gun and tried to hit the other man with it. Luckily, he was caught in the act by the Public Security Police.
The victim, an elderly man, was injured, but the situation could have been much more serious if it were not for the quick intervention of the PSP.
The violent situation reached such an extent that the injured man’s car was also badly damaged, as this too was battered.
