Speaking to media outlet, JM, both Ana Andrade and Cristina Henriques, from the Associação dos Cegos e Amblíopes de Portugal (ACAPO) – Madeira nucleus, which was founded just over a year ago, state that complaints from visually impaired people are extensive, ranging from architectural obstacles, social isolation, and lack of accessibility or employment.
It is not just physical blindness that affects people, but the blindness of ignorance which even today continues to be widespread.
