The Regional Government and Municipalities are said to be moving separately towards the application of the tourist tax.
With the Funchal city tax being levied at two euros per day up to a maximum of seven nights. The President of Madeira has asked for the cooperation and coordination of the various municipalities but has already warned that this tax will be implemented this year.
