The first ultra-fast electric vehicle charger in the Region has just been installed, at Rua Artur de Sousa Pinga, Funchal, an investment of 30 thousand euros.
The charger, which is capable of delivering 150KW, was installed through the subsidiary EMACOM – Electric Mobility, a company the Regional Government considers has “played a fundamental role in the development of public charging station infrastructure.”
To date, EMACOM has 14 active charging stations installed in the Region. This new station replaces the previous existing 50 KW one and is now integrated into the Electric Mobility Network (MOBIE).
With the installation of this first ultra-fast charging station, it will be possible to reduce the average charging time of electric vehicles, reducing waiting times and promoting higher charging turnover. For just 8 minutes, with vehicles being sufficiently fueled to travel 100km.
