Methodological issues excluded the autonomous regions from a study promoted by the Service for Intervention in Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies.
The study reveals that the organisation did not take into account the successive international warnings
that the islands are on the cocaine route. At the national level, the analysis reveals an increase in
crack users, while here in Madeira, Nelson Carvalho assures everyone that cocaine use is residual.
“All in all,” he says, “the drugs study completely ignores Madeira.”
