The Funchal City Council has confirmed that on the 18th of November, it will hold its ‘urban monster rubbish collection campaign, in an attempt to clear the current scourge of abandoned domestic goods littering the highways and countryside.
Citizens who would like to take advantage of this collection should contact their respective Parish Councils, in order to register and request the collection of large goods from their residence, between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm on the appointed day.
The municipality warns that this campaign is only intended for the collection of monsters, such as refrigerators, mattresses, washing machines, among others, and that this type of equipment should be outside, next to the respective residence or as close as possible to the main street, in order to ensure a speedy removal service.
