The leadership of SITAM (Union of Office, Commerce and Services Workers of the Autonomous Region of Madeira) proposed this morning, at the Funchal City Hall, the closure of traditional commerce for 10 days in December, along with another four half days.
The proposal delivered today includes the closure on the 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 17th, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 31st of December, as well as the opening hours between 09:00 am and 14:00 on the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd of next month.
In addition, the union proposes to the municipality a meeting between the interested entities, especially the employers’ associations, during which the SITAM board will present the grounds for the proposal.
