IKEA’s plan to open a planning studio and order point later this year in Madeira will go ahead.
The subject is back in the news after the Logística Moderna magazine said that the company would be opening a new space in the La Vie Shopping Centre, in Funchal.
“This decision responds to the high demand of Madeirans for IKEA products, which already represent about 4 million euros of our sales per year in the Region,” explained Ricardo Pereira, CFO of IKEA Portugal.
Now, the magazine says that in Portugal, “IKEA expects to invest around 60 million euros during the 2024 fiscal year, marking its 20th anniversary in Portugal.”
