A hire car left parked in the middle of the road in front of a junction in Pico do Areeiro caused chaos today.
As sources from the Public Security Police (PSP) and the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) told JM, the car remained in the centre of the road for several hours. Although the PSP fined the vehicle and remained on site along with the Forest Police for several hours, no one returned.
It wasn’t until late this afternoon and after the police had left that the tourists returned and drove away.
