Man Missing Since Saturday

Eighty-year-old José Mário Gonçalves has been missing since Saturday morning.

The last time he was seen was in the Tendeira area, and is a creature of habit, states his granddaughter,  Mara Gonçalves. His daily routine saw him enjoy coffee in his local cafe, a trip to the supermarket, and then back home, and as was the gentle rhythm of his life that no one realised that he was missing.

However, after 24 hours, his relatives issued an alert, especially, after they found his mobile phone at the house. It is believed that he has his wallet and other documentation with him.

Unfortunately, the family can give no details about the clothes he was wearing, and simply state that José was tall and has white hair.

The family’s biggest concern is that José likes to collect limpets, and although they have visited all the areas he frequently collected them, they have been unable to find any trace or a witness who has observed his whereabouts.

The authorities have already been informed, and the family asks anyone who may know of his whereabouts, to contact their local police station.
