Shock waves ran wild at lunchtime when the Secretary of State for Finance, João Nuno Mendes, made a surprise announcement on Antena 1 and Jornal de Negócios, stating that TAP- Air Portugal will be sold in the first half of 2024. He went on to explain that the Government intends to complete the privatisation process in the first six months of next year.
