The Madeira International Airport was on high alert this afternoon after a technical issue aboard a Ryanair flight bound for Lisbon was identified.
As such, the airport activated its emergency plan, and several firefighting vehicles and an ambulance were at the scene.
According to the scant information provided by ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, the Ryanair flight did not leave for Lisbon, and all passengers had to disembark.
Later on, ANA confirmed that the airport was operating normally.
