Despite the warnings and no entry signs at the access points of some of the closed pedestrian routes, tourists are choosing to ignore them and access the trails.
This morning was no different, as several visitors decided to ignore the taped off entrances and walk along the path that connects Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo.
