An oil rig destined for scrap in Aliaga, Izmir province, Turkey, generated a lot of attention in the bay of Funchal last week. The platform, originating from Pascagoula in the United States, is being towed by a tug named Carlo Magno.
The crew from the NRP Mondego monitored the situation while the tug refuelled in Caniçal.
