The Tax Authority (AT), has confirmed that a fraudulent email is in circulation that has the AT symbols at the top of the page, which asks people for their ‘IRS taxpayer credentials.’
“These messages are false and should be ignored. Its purpose is to convince the recipient to access malicious pages by loading the suggested links,” states the Tax Authority.
