The Board of Directors of Horários do Funchal has reached an agreement with the two unions representing its workers, putting an end to the strike scheduled for tomorrow, the 20th of March.
After several rounds of negotiations involving the Union of Road Workers and Metallurgical Activities of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (STRAMM), the National Union of Drivers and Other Workers (SNMOT) and the Board of Directors of Horários do Funchal finally came to an agreement. As well as salaries, and payments, food subsidies were also discussed.
In a statement, the Administration of Horários do Funchal said that it welcomed the agreement that allowed the dispute to be resolved without resorting to strike and, consequently, without causing any inconvenience to the large hundreds of passengers who, every day, use their services.
