This evening, the Public Security Police (PSP) and the Rapid Response Brigada (BIR) were called out due to a bomb threat in Amparo.
According to a police source, a man said he had a bomb inside his house. The emergency services were called out including members of the PSP explosives team. It would appear that the man fled the scene, and the incendiary device is being dealt with by the bomb squad.
The area is now under police control.
