Even at 11 am this morning Funchal, and the Farmer’s Market, were not only busy but gearing up for tonight’s extravaganza. Drivers became frustrated especially when they found their usual routes closed as stallholders were beginning to prepare for tonight’s party atmosphere.
At 4 pm this afternoon, most of the stalls had finished their prep, and trade was said to be brisk.
The municipality of Funchal says that it expects between 25,000 – 30,000 people to visit the capital tonight.
Don’t forget that some of the bus stops have changed due to this evening, so make sure that you check the schedules so you don’t miss that all important connection.
