The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Paula Cabaço, together with other public entities, welcomed the commander of the Viking Polaris, Olivier Marien to Funchal harbour today.
Constructed in the Netherlands, and on its maiden voyage, the ship arrived in Funchal harbour late morning, and after an 8-hour stopover set sail at 20:00 for Mindelo, Cape Verde. From there, the liner will sail to Ushuaia, and Patagonia Argentina, which is also known as the “land at the end of the world.”
Currently, there are a total of 146 passengers on board.
