Yesterday, after the news of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II was released, the Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira expressed its deepest regret at hearing the news of her passing.
Writing to express his sorrow, the President of the Regional Government affirmed that the Autonomous Region of Madeira is associated with the pain of the British people, and the peoples of the Kingdoms of the Communities of Nations, of which the Queen was also sovereign to.
Finally, Miguel Albuquerque simply praised the monarch for her lifelong dedication to her country, stating that she represented a pillar of stability during her seventy year reign.
